Course Information
Equip your team with the expertise needed to confidently handle VSP One File installation and maintenance responsibilities.
This intermediate course provides detailed procedures for installing and supporting Hitachi VSP One File models 32/34/38 and Hitachi NAS Platform (HNAS) 5×00. It introduces the Virtual Storage Platform One File models, focusing on installation and support requirements.
There are extensive hands-on lab sessions to make you familiar with both the equipment and function of the VSP One File models. You will gain experience doing the physical wiring to the Ethernet infrastructure. You will learn how to connect the back-end Fibre Channel cables correctly for both direct attached storage (DAS) and over Fibre Channel SAN attached storage configuration scenarios. You will perform a full initial installation of the Hitachi VSP One File system. Performing common maintenance tasks, such as the physical replacement of Field Replaceable Units and executing firmware upgrades on all VSP One File models, will be covered in the lab sessions.
Note: The course material and lab activities are based on firmware version 15.1.8081xx, also referenced as Elephant-2.

It is also available online (online proctored) and at Kryterion testing centers (onsite proctored).

· Explain how to identify and recover from VSP One File failure.
